With the latest release of IZ Research, you now have access to comprehensive and accurate data on pedestrian traffic for the first time — enabling you to conduct even more informed location analyses. The new footfall map, based on data from our new partner Targomo, provides you with detailed insights into pedestrian traffic throughout Germany – in high resolution and across regions. Take advantage of this valuable information for your location decisions in the ‘Location Analysis’ application now.

Whether you are an asset manager, retailer, logistics professional, or urban planner, the new footfall map allows you to identify busy street sections, shopping arcades, or train station areas at a glance.

Where can I find the footfall map?

You can select the footfall map in the ‘Location Analysis’ feature in the ‘Map‘ module. Add the module to your existing templates as often as you like and benefit directly from the new data.

What’s behind the footfall index

The data for the footfall map from our new partner Targomo is obtained using anonymized mobile app movement data.

The footfall index (scale 0–100) represents a relative value that reflects the frequency of passers-by per tile. The higher the index value on the map, the higher the average daily footfall at that location.

  • Asset managers & portfolio analysts: Reassess existing properties in your portfolio – with real foot traffic data for better forecasting of potential and value development.

Integrated into the location analysis by IZ Research, the level of detail on the map for the location can be customized. Select the zoom level you require from these views.
  • Detailed view: Shows the exact location and individual surrounding streets.

  • Wide area view: Shows the location in its region.
