2. Our Data Sources and Ensuring Current Data

Property-related data as well as transaction reports, which we collect from articles in the Immobilien Zeitung and other publications of the dfv Mediengruppe such as Textilwirtschaft, Lebensmittel Zeitung or AHGZ, are fed into IZ Research on a daily basis.

In addition, we also process daily transaction and project reports that reach us or are researched by our data editorial team.

Transaction and property data from fund and annual reports – depending on the date of publication – is also continuously collected and uploaded to IZ Research immediately after collection. In this way we guarantee the highest possible level of up-to-date data.

The update cycle of the structural data currently consists of a main update by the end of the third quarter of a year at the latest. Throughout the year, we carry out several updates, depending on when data is available from the data collection agencies (in particular DeStatis and the Federal Employment Agency), which we then upload to IZ Research with a slight time delay.

The market data for the asset classes office, retail, residential and hotel is imported at the beginning of the current year. The same applies during the year for published quarterly and half-yearly figures.

Further information on the collection of structural data can be found here.

Our data is expanded and updated on a daily basis.

Throughout the year, we carry out several updates, depending on when data is available from the data collection agencies (in particular DeStatis and the Federal Employment Agency), which we receive with a slight time delay from our cooperation partner Nexiga and we then upload to IZ Research.

The updated structural data is collected with the publication status of the previous year e.g., at the end of 2019, the data from 2018 is imported. When collecting market data, the previous year’s figures are imported after publication by the primary source at the beginning of the current year (e.g., annual figures from 2019 are imported in Q1 2020). The same applies to published quarterly and half-yearly figures during the year.
