Brand new: Measure distances and calculate areas or perimeters.<\/h2>\n

Do you want to determine the distance between various points along a line on the IZ Research maps? Do you need to know the perimeter and area of a terrain or a (self-drawn) polygon? This is now possible with the new function “Measure\/Calculate” in all theme and general maps.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How does it work?<\/h3>\nYou will find the new function “Measure\/Calculate” in the toolbar with two helpful icons:\n

  • a ruler icon for measuring distance<\/li>\n \t
  • a protractor icon with a polygon function for calculating area and perimeter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n \n

    How do I measure a distance?<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Select your desired section of the map.<\/li>\n
    2. Click on the ruler icon in the toolbar to start the distance measurement.<\/li>\n
    3. Click on the desired location\/point on the map.<\/li>\n
    4. Double click to mark the end of the route.<\/li> Alternatively, you can insert intermediate points with further clicks.\n
    5. The length of your defined route is displayed next to the route on the map.<\/li>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
